A dealer asked me if he should upload his Employee Guidebook to DocuSign or equivalent instead of having a booklet.

Reasons to:

✔Easier to update

Reasons not to:

✔Looks and feels more “corporate.”
✔The burden of proof that the employee received it and signed for it is more convoluted, versus making a copy out of the physical employee file.
✔The need to invest in other computer workstations so all wage earners have access to it. DocuSign and competitors require a large bandwidth, so mobile is not as effective, especially with a large(r) Guidebook.
✔Plaintiff lawyers and regulators are more impacted by a physical book as it’s simply more tangible and straight-forward.

There’s more here and I would enjoy your feedback.
